Girl Crush #3 - Charlize Theron

Perhaps Charlize is an unexpected girl crush, but I recently discovered that when she isn't being dressed for the red carpet, she is an expert at dressing down in style.

Charlize proves that it is absolutely possible to look chic after a long-haul flight. I'm sure she has a pair of ballet pumps and a cosy sweater in her bag that she wore during the flight, but she stepped off the plane in style. It just goes to show, we can do it too!

The key is in the detail - biker style black jeans add interest, and studded pumps are so much more fun than plain black.

Charlize is the queen of casual chic. To get Charlize's style, invest in the perfect pair of leather trousers and a pair of heels that will take you from lunch to cocktails. Don't be afraid to dress up a casual outfit with a statement bag or with cute heels. Sometimes, it's better to keep things simple.

Girl Crush #3 - Cara Delevingne

Cara has been a girl crush of mine for so long. First off, she's gorgeous, and secondly, she dresses like the ultimate care-free rock chick. Most people will know her from Burberry's ad campaigns, and possibly from their shows (she opened and closed the A/W '12 show, you know, the one that ended with the snow and umbrellas?). But I think she should also be known for her personal style.

Cara's looking pretty smart here, but she still manages to hint towards her usual grungey style by having a cheeky bit of lacy bra on show.

To get Cara's look, stock up on some beautiful basic tops and perfect fitting skinny jeans. There are lots of combat boots available this season, so find your favourite pair and wear them in! I'll be customising mine with items such as these shoe chains from Regal Rose, and part of a skinny studded belt wrapped around the ankle.

Daisy, what a babe. Her rock chick style always seems to have a chic edge.

Girl Crush #1 - Blake Lively

Blake Lively, what a babe. To begin with, I loved her as Serena in Gossip Girl, but I soon realised that as an individual, she has incredible style.

I love the mix of textures in this outfit, and the interesting choice of colours, which work so well together! Would you have ever thought of mixing purple and browns/greys? Me neither!

So simple, yet so chic. This girl knows how to work neutral tones to her advantage, and shows how a beautifully tailored blazer can make an outfit.

I don't know how she does it, but even in comfy casuals she oozes style. Chunky knits and cute booties are clearly the way to go.

Blake is the master of layering. I also particularly love her penchant for cosy coats and knee high boots.
